Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl

Now in its 13th year, this Bowl matches teams from the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). This year’s game is between the University of North Carolina and the University of Tennessee, the teams’ first meeting since 1961.
Applause for the Cause

A concert benefiting Imagine/World Hunger Year, helping feed children in Haiti, Kenya, India, and Thailand. Hosted by Paris Delane and featuring some of the best songwriters, artists, and bands that Music City has to offer. The night kicks off with a “writers in the round” performance by Hard Rock Cafe employees. Performances follow by Carrie Zaruba, Gianina Bilan, Stephen Salyers, Paris Delane, Blackfoot Gypsies, Leilah Hayman, and Zach Spencer.
Schermerhorn Grand Reopening with Itzhak Perlman

The Schermerhorn Symphony Center will reopen to the public, after closing to repair devastating flood damages from the historic May 2010 flood. In celebration of the recovery, violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman is featured with the Nashville Symphony in a sold-out New Year’s Eve concert.
Music City Bash on Broadway

On Broadway between 1st and 4th avenues, Nashville’s second annual New Year’s Eve Party will feature a free block party, live music and fireworks. Artists include Phil Vassar, Damien Horne, Heidi Newfield and Will Hoge. Plus, an 80-foot Guitar Drop of the Hard Rock Café Nashville’s ten-foot tall guitar, along with the fireworks at midnight!
