Local wine store Vinea announced earlier this week plans to close its doors after six years of serving the 12South, and neighboring, communities of Nashville.
Vinea’s doors are set to officially close on Friday. The owner, Brett Corrieri, is also head chef at Mafiaoza’s next door, explained that keeping the business running was no longer profitable in the quickly growing 12South neighborhood, with rents growing higher and higher by the minute.
The space that held Vinea was being sublet from Mafiazoa’s. Corrieri speculates that the owners may not decide what to do with the soon-to-be-empty space until the beginning of next year.
If you frequented Vinea or even just stopped by a time or two, be sure to pay it a visit today and wish it farewell and give it thanks for its service over the past six years. Any remaining product is marked down and priced to sell quickly.
We will keep you posted on any new business venture that may move into the space in the coming year.
