The first neighborhood on the list is none other than Belle Meade. Belle Meade means “beautiful meadow”. If you are familiar with Belle Meade then you know that this name suits the place very well. Belle Meade Plantation’s original owner was John Harding and called his home and the 200 acres its sits on “beautiful meadow”. Belle Meade eventually grew to more than 3,500 acres. Enquirer, Harding, and Jackson are several streets in the Belle Meade neighborhood associated with Belle Meade Plantation.
