The Gulch Extending and Growing in 2012

The Greyhound Station on Charlotte Avenue may be the site for a new big-box retailer, and popular stores like Ikea, Target and Publix have been considered for the space. If you didn’t see yesterday’s blog post about the development possibilities, check it out here.

The Gulch, whose location lies near the Charlotte Avenue area that will be experiencing a burst of commercial redevelopment this year, is looking forward to some extension and growth of its own.

Local developer Todd Jackovich and his Atlanta-based firm Stonehenge are building a 302-unit apartment complex, to be called Eleven North Apartments. The complex is slated to open in the spring.

Haynes and Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co., who are working to redevelop the Charlotte Ave. site, also own 30 acres of land just north of the area close by to the Gulch. Their desire to build up those acres in addition to the residential growth coming this year show great promise for the growth and burst of activity coming to the Gulch this year and in years to come.

Would you happen to have a list of multi-family projects that are under construction in the Nashville area?
