Are you looking to get in a run/walk on Thursday morning before settling down for a hot meal and time with family and friends? There are several different Thanksgiving Day outings planned across Middle Tennessee for those of you looking to get moving!
1. Boulevard Bolt –> The Boulevard Bolt is an annual Thanksgiving Day 5K that happens down Belle Meade Boulevard in Nashville. This year’s event marks the 20th year for this fun, family-friendly event. The 5-mile course can be walked or ran and this event raises funds that benefit the homeless in Middle Tennessee. Registration is available online until 3 p.m. today and will be available on site tomorrow (Thursday) morning. More info here: www.boulevardbolt.org.
2. Looking to run a little bit further than what the Boulevard Bolt offers? Head downtown for the Music City Thanksgiving Day 8/4-Miler! This year is just the second year for this fun and now annual Nashville race. The race will begin and end at Titan’s Stadium and include a stroll through the streets of downtown Nashville. This race benefits the Nashville Rescue Mission and all participants are encouraged to bring a frozen turkey to be donated to the Nashville Rescue Mission following the race. Registration is available online through5 p.m. today and tomorrow (Thursday) on site. More info here.
3. If you live south of Nashville in Williamson County, the Turkey Trot will be happening at the D1 campus in Cool Springs (Franklin). This 5K run/walk benefits GraceWorks Ministries.
