TEDx in Nashville | Nashville Events

    Nashville’s 5th annual event, TEDxNashville 2014, has announced its lineup of speakers. This is an independently organized event based on the popular TED conferences.

    The event will be held on March 22, 2014 at TPAC’s Polk Theater and tickets are now on sale.

    TED (which stands for technology, entertainment and design) has expanded to include a broad spectrum of topics over the years, and will feature a mix of speakers this year, including:

    » Tasha Lemley, co-founder of The Contributor, Nashville’s homeless newspaper
    » Rachel Briggs, art director and designer, Rachel Briggs Illustration + Design
    » Dan Hogan, president and CEO, Medalogix
    » Cliff Ricketts, professor, agri-business and agri-science, MTSU
    » Charlie Peacock, producer, artist, and songwriter
    » Bethany Hoppe, professor, Department of Speech and Theatre, MTSU
    » Naomi Shah, student, Stanford University
    » Michael Vandenbergh, David Daniels Allen Distinguishes Chair of Law & Director of Climate Change Research Network, Vanderbilt University
    » Marcus Whitney, co-founder, Moontoast, Inc. Nashville Hustle: to change your world, you gotta lie a little
    » Kit Parker, Founding Core Faculty Member, Wyss Institute, Harvard University
    » Kevin Huffman, Commissioner, Tennessee Department of Education

    This event is for curiously-minded, educated Middle Tennesseans who are influencers in their fields. Members of the press will be invited, and a student discount will be available.
