South of Broadway, a .04 acre parking site will be home to a new apartment development. The development is a product of Lifestyle Communities, a Ohio-based multifamily developer.
The company paid members of the Alexander family $850,000 for the land at 716 Third Ave. S. The site is across from the Howard School office complex.
Chase Miller, director of development for Lifestyle Communities stated, “We had a willing seller, and it was an opportunistic buy for us. In Columbus we’ve built over 8,000 units, and long term we plan to have a similar market presence in Nashville. We like the inner-ring neighborhoods as well as the established neighborhoods.”
Lifestyle Communities is currently looking to expand their Nashville presence with this purchase. The company is also planning a 450-unit mixed-use building called LC Germantown. The development will be 4.7 acres on Second Avenue North and Madison Street. The company has buildings in Lexington, Louisville, and is home Columbus. Nashville is Lifestyle Communities fourth market.
