During the month of September, 1,567 homes were sold which is a 19% decrease from sales last year. But the year-to-date closings are at a 3% increase over last year’s reported sales through September 2009. 15,292 homes closed in 2010 and 15,453 closed in 2009.
Increases were also seen in the median price of a single-family residence. In September 2010 it was $171,820 for a house and $155,000 for a condominium. By comparison, the median price of a single family residence in September of 2009 was $160,000 and for a condominium it was $142,500.
