The area referred to as 12South has established itself as a trendy business district nestled into a historic residential neighborhood. As you stroll around with a gourmet Mexican popsicle from Las Paletas, wait outside for a table at Burger Up, or enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch at Frothy Monkey, have you ever wondered what’s inside those beautiful homes surrounding 12th Ave? Last year, these homeowners opened their doors for the first time to curious Nashvillians. The first 12South Tour of Homes was such a success that they have decided to make it an annual tradition!
Participating in the tour will gain you admission to eight historic homes, Sunnyside Mansion, and an Islamic House of Worship. Follow the walking map provided on the brochure or meander through your favorite 12South shops along the route – you have all afternoon to enjoy the best of the neighborhood! Plenty of parking will also be provided at different locations along the route. For those of you looking to learn about the history, renovations, and the architecture of the homes, all of that information will be provided in the brochure that comes with tickets.
This time around, the tour will be on Saturday, April 16th from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 the day of and can be purchased at Prix de Solde (2601 12th Ave. S.) from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on the day of the event. Proceeds from the tour will be used to help with neighborhood beautification and cleanups.
