Ready for a Nashville Thanksgiving? How about the Boulevard Bolt?

It’s time to put on your running shoes and start training for the 5 mile run with your Nashville community on Thanksgiving morning! The Boulevard Bolt is one of Nashville’s most popular traditions. The community comes together on Thanksgiving day for a 5 mile family-friendly run/walk on Belle Meade Boulevard to benefit the homeless in Nashville. The event is a great opportunity to reflect on your blessings by giving to those less fortunate than you! Isn’t that what Thanksgiving is all about? There is no better way to give thanks, than spending time with others in your community and raising money for those in need.

The race is held at 8 am on Thanksgiving Day. Since its inception 17 years ago, the race has donated over $1.4 million to activities such as running laundry facilities at a homeless shelter, operating a truck to deliver meals to homeless on the streets, and supporting homeless healthcare services.

To register for the race before November 19th, go to active.com, or drop off completed forms at Immanuel Baptist Church through Wednesday, November 24th. Registration fees vary from $25 to $50 between now and race day. Registration is only open to individuals; no group rates will apply. There is an opportunity upon registration to donate additional funds to the project’s charities, but for those wishing to donate who cannot attend the run/walk, send checks to:
