Clinards Drive Shaft Shop, a business that has resided in Southern Broawdway for 37 years, has recently been sold by its owner for $1.4 million.
The shop repairs drive shafts for cars and trucks. It is a business built by William J. Clinard’s father 52 years ago. Clinard has said he is looking to put the business up for sale.
The business sits on four-tenths of an acre and was bought by the investment group Ranger II LLC. Clinards Drive Shaft shop sits on 522 and 524 Fourth Ave. S.
Fred Kane represented Clinard during the purchase. Kane said, “There was no development timeline associated with the purchase. ” Ranger II supposedly thus far has only bought the property as an investment.
