If the idea of heading to the mall and fighting holiday traffic (not to mention the intense battle that can be finding a parking spot in overcrowded parking lots) sounds less than appealing, consider buying local this year. Not only will you be supporting talented Nashville artisans, but you can avoid the mess that is big box stores at this time of year.
Coming up in just a few weeks is Porter Flea’s 2013 Holiday Market. What is Porter Flea, you may ask. Think of it like an modern twist on the classic flea market. It’s indoor and will be filled to the brim with local artisans who make incredible, quality, hand-crafted products and goods.
The Porter Flea Holiday Market is a great chance to get your holiday shopping done and get to experience some new local artist and shops you may not be aware of. And we’d be silly not to mention that there will be food in the form of some of Nashville’s most beloved food trucks. This year, you’ll find Deg Thai, Yayo’s OMG, Wrapper’s Delight, The Bang Candy Co., Riff’s, Jeni’s and Crankees Pizzera serving up their best eats.
Vendors slated to be at this year’s holiday market include, but are not limited to, Modern Arks, Paper and Clay, Oh My Deer, lovelane, HollerDesign, Boss Construction, New York to Nashville and many more.
Don’t miss out on this year’s Porter Flea Holiday Market! The market is set for Saturday, Dec. 7th from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. at Track 1 – Porter Ave. S. and Chestnut St. Admission is FREE! Visit the Porter Flea website here for more details and information.
