Plans for an Improved Riverfront Park

Plans to improve Nashville’s Riverfront Park were made public this morning.  With the intention of making the riverfront a more desirable attraction, a timeline for upcoming actions toward improvement has been laid out.  From the 2009-2010 Capital Spending plan, $30 million dollars has been set aside to launch the project.  The park will include more greenery, a 2-mile loop, fountains, lawns, and docks to overlook the river. Construction will begin this fall and Summer 2011 has been set as the expected date of completion.  For more information, questions, or concerns log onto the Park’s website: http://www.nashvilleriverfront.org/about.html.
