Fall is such a fun season in Nashville and offers so many opportunities to spend some much-needed time outside enjoying the crisp, cooler temperatures after hiding away inside the comfort of AC all summer long. Our October calendar includes several popular festivals happening around the Nashville area this month, the perfect excuse to get outside and enjoy the fall season.
Starting on Oct. 6 is the Celebrate Nashville Cultural Festival and the Nashville Beer Festival. The Cultural Festival is happening at Centennial Park as it celebrates the cultural diversity of the community through culture, music, dance, food, shopping and family activities.
Nashville Beer Festival will be held at Public Square Park as it celebrates craft beers (both seasonal and local), offers beer education, food, fellowship and more. A week later on Oct. 13 is when 5 Points Second Saturday and Oktoberfest will be held. 5 Points Second Saturday is an event created by several East Nashville Galleries and businesses as a fun evening celebrating the arts, small business and the joy of getting out of the house! This event is from 6-9:30 p.m. at various locations in East Nashville.
Oktoberfest 2012 marks the 33rd annual year for this Nashville event. The event features authentic German food and drinks, polka dancing, live music, tours of Germantown historic churches, arts, crafts and more.
Lastly, Franklin’s 29th annual Pumpkinfest is set for Oct. 29, featuring arts and crafts vendors, a children’s activity area, the Sister Cities’ Great Pumpkin, the Franklin Chili Cook-off and much more! Click here to read more about Pumpkinfest.
