While news that Walmart was opening a supercenter in Berry Hill, in the 100 Oaks Shopping area, broke last summer, just recently has the sign has gone up–visible proof that the store is weeks away from opening its doors to eager shoppers.
The 96,000 square-feet space will be the smallest Walmart Supercenter in the Nashville area, yet still offer all goods available at full-size locations including grocery, general merchandise, pharmacy, deli and so on — the same principle, just on a smaller scale.
200 jobs are expected to come out of the new store and it will add a much needed grocery store in an area of Nashville currently known as a food dessert, which is any area where healthy and affordable food is difficult to obtain.
Also new to town is another Chick-fil-A, located on Charlotte Pike in West Nashville. The restaurant opened its doors on Dec. 15th and has already been warmly welcomed by hungry mouths! Be sure to visit the new location if you are in Charlotte Park neighborhood.
