New $300 Million Project Planned for Downtown | Nashville Developments

Turnberry Associates is planning a $300 million project, including a hotel and 250 condo residences, on property it has under contract with with United Methodist Publishing House in downtown Nashville.

Preconstruction sales of the condo units could begin next year, with construction expected to start in the first quarter of 2016, says the company’s CEO Jeffrey Soffer.

The hotel is expected to be a well-known national brand, likely a JW Marriott. Turnberry currently has Marriott brands at several hotel properties in Orlando and Miami.

Florida-based Turnberry is majority owner of the Union Station and Hilton Nashville Downtown hotels. The real estate company has developed more than $7 billion of projects nationwide.

The condos planned would be a welcome addition to downtown’s high-rise market.
