Today marks the second day of our Nashville Staycation series! In this series we are giving readers a planned themed day out on the town to escape from your jobs, but not spend too much money by going on a vacation.
Today’s theme is Hot Hangouts. This day takes you on an adventure throughout all of Nashville’s best and brightest local hangouts. Experience a day in Nashville that only the locals know about.
Hot Hangouts
If you want to enjoy the beautiful weather with your coffee and breakfast, add The Frothy Monkey to your day’s agenda. With menu items like the classic Architect or the Tennessee French, you truly cannot go wrong with your breakfast choice. Even better, the hint of banana in many of the coffee and espresso drinks makes your morning cup of joe unlike any other.

Everyone loves a good burger, but when you go to Burger Up you get far more than that. The restaurant is committed to using local (and humanely treated) beef as well as many other local and sustainable menu items. Family style seating also makes Burger Up a friendly place to stop in for a bite to eat and maybe see some 12 South neighbors!

Afternoon Activity: Las Paletas/Sevier Park
The gourmet popsicle establishment is known around Nashville for its out-of-the-box flavors like hibiscus, honeydew, and avocado. Most of the popsicles fall under the “fruity” or “creamy” categories, but a few, like hibiscus, are in a category of their own. Grab a popsicle, head across the street to Sevier Park, and enjoy an afternoon outdoors.

With such high profile past-acts, it’s no wonder that the downtown music venue found a spot on our list of hotspots.
