Once again, we get to brag about the recognition Nashville is receiving. Quantum Workplace has named Nashville No. 7 in its annual “Top 10 Best Cities to Work” list. The list named the following cities in the Top 10 list: Charlotte, NC; Denver, CO; Sacramento, CA; San Antonio, TX; Washington, D.C.; Austin, TX; our own favorite, Nashville; Baltimore, MD; Boston, MA; and Miami-Dade, FL.
The 2013 report also named the bottom five “engaged” cities, the most improved cities, and the most declined cities. Denver and Charlotte were the only two cities to show significant improvement in engagement since 2009.
Quantum Workplace is based in Omaha, Nebraska and surveyed nearly 400,000 employees to compile the 2013 report. Quantum’s process includes science-based tools used to measure and manage employee engagement, loyalty, and retention. Annually, the company creates a report that shows yearly aggregate trends, industry trends and analysis on the factors that impact, “engagement, employees’ preferences for recognition, and the effect of engagement on retention, profits, and sales,” according to an article in the Nashville Post.
