Spring came early this year which means even sooner than usual, people are ready to eat those fresh and juicy summer fruits and vegetables and dust off their grills. For those of you wanting to go buy some local fruits, veggies and more, head to the Nashville Farmers’ Market where you can buy all the ingredients for your burgers and fruit salad!

The Nashville Farmers’ Market has been around and happening since the early 1800s in Music City. It has happened in several different locations around the city throughout the years, but still today remains an integral part of the Nashville community.

The Farmers’ Market is home to artisans, farmers, restauranteurs and local business merchants and is open year-round in Nashville with three distinct areas:

The Farm Side consists of two large, covered sheds and a middle market, home to anywhere from five to 100 farmers, craftpersons, artisans and merchants all year long. Here you can find anything ranging from soap to baked goods to milk and cheese. The busiest days for the Farm Side are Friday through Sunday and the busiest season is June through November. In April, spring flowers start to appear at the market and by November, Christmas trees and holiday greens are found in abundance. The Farm Side is open seven days a week, 362 days a year.

The Market House consists of nine (soon to be 10) restaurants, a coffee cafe, international market, Louisiana Seafood Co. (Friday through Sunday), Howell’s Farm Store and many day-merchants.

Moreover, the Farmers’ Market offers a weekend flea market, open Friday through Sunday which showcases over 50 merchants specializing in a range of skills including pottery, jewelry, clothing and much more!

Nashville Farmers’ Market is located at 900 Rosa L. Parks Blvd. Nashville, TN 37208–north of downtown Nashville, and adjacent to Bicentennial Park. The Farm Side of the Market is open Every Day – 362 days per year, Monday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Market House restaurants & shops are also open every day 362 days per year though individual store & restaurants days/hours do vary.   Our Flea Market side is open Friday-Sunday every weekend during the year.  Individual merchant hours DO vary – check the merchant listings for details and contact information. The Market only closes on Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year’s Day.
