Nashville chosen for Google’s Tech Hub Program | Nashville News

We have fun and positive news to share today. The Nashville Entrepreneur Center was recently named as one of seven locations in the new Google for Entrepreneurs Tech Hub Network.

Other locations chosen for the Tech Hub program include Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Durham, N.C., Minneapolis and Waterloo, Ont. In those cities, Nashville included, Google employees will act as liaisons providing advice and connections to the company’s resources and helping host local events.

Excitement of a possible Google/Entrepreneur Center partnership arose earlier this year after a “Google For Creators’ event sold out. Google first hosted an official entrepreneur-oriented event in Nashville last year, and Nashville area tech executives and boosters say that a tighter bond with Google, a Silicon Valley-based company, is another sign that Nashville’s IT scene is making a national mark.
