Lofty Goals for Wedgewood | Nashville Real Estate

This fall a new five-story, mixed use project will start on Wedgewood Ave just east of Interstate 65. The building effort will be lead by Aerial Development Group.

The Metro Council approved specific plan rezoning for the 1.25-acre site. After, The Nashville-based developer released the first rendering of the development. This is Aerial’s first large-scale multi-unit residential and mixed-use project. The building is expected to hold 150 multifamily units. It will also include 10,000 square feet on the street level.

“Wedgewood Lofts will help meet the neighborhood’s wishes to activate the area as a walkable neighborhood and transition between commercial and residential along this major corridor,” said Britnie Turner, Aerial’s founder.

The project will be lofts — either one or two bedroom units. Sizes of the rooms will range from 468 to 1,515 square feet. The lofts will be designed by Poole & Poole Architecture.

Aerial also has its eyes on another Wedgewood-Houston area. A new development called Southgate Station will be on a 1.9 acres and have single-family homes and town homes.
