Attention Nashvillians: Spring has sprung and so have local area Farmer’s Markets! Your search for locally sourced produce and more is now much easier now that several area Farmer’s Markets have “opened” for the season. Check out three (of many!) listed below and give them a visit in the coming weeks!
The 12th South market is now open from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday through October. The market is in held in Sevier Park, (3000 Granny White Pike) and features produce, meat, dairy, baked goods, and specialty items as well as everyone’s favorite… food trucks! Vendors that are a part of this year’s market include Delvin Farms produce, Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheeses, baked goods from Cuppycakes Bakery, meat from Triple L Ranch and other items from popular vendors including Juice. Nashville, Legato Gelato and Izzie’s Ice. The Grilled Cheeserie, Riff’s Fine Street Food and Jeni’s Ice Cream Food Trucks will be there, too, so be sure to stop by and support them! The East Nashville Farmer’s Market is now open from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday through October. It’s located at 210 S. 10th St. Farmer’s that can be found at the East Nashville Market include Flying S Farm for fresh produce, meat and dairy from Noble Springs Dairy, and other specialty items from vendors including Dipped Delights, Loco Donuts, See Spot Eat and Auntie T’s Granola. The Franklin Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It’s located behind The Factory at Franklin at the “shed,” the address is 230 Franklin Rd. in Franklin, TN. All products sold at the Franklin Farmer’s Market come from local farmers and the Franklin market also features a select number of local craft persons with unique and beautiful goods for you to enjoy.
