End of October, already? Before we know it, Christmas will be here and the year will be coming to a close.
Before that time, though, we want to take you through one more blog series. In an attempt to choose something best suited for the upcoming holiday season, we took upon ourselves the difficult task of choosing just a handful of local nonprofit organizations to feature in a blog series we’re calling Serve Nashville. Nashville has so many local nonprofits worthy of sharing about, but we tried to keep it simple by choosing specific categories of service and spotlighting area nonprofits that give back in those areas. Featured categories include, but are not limited to, service for widows and orphans, after-school programs for low-income students, environmental needs, and food and nutrition needs.
Through Serve Nashville, our goal is to share a little background information about each organization, but more importantly, to spread the word about the specific areas of need that each hold during the busy holiday season. It is our hope that through this series, you will be able to find a way to get plugged in to the Nashville community in the coming months with your families and friends.
Check back on Monday morning as we begin our journey through Serve Nashville. Until then, be sure to look back through our posts from our ADoor Nashville series that we just wrapped up this past week. You can find all of the Nashville historic landmarks we covered in that series here.
