Wow! It’s hard to believe that a new month is already here! February brings a lot of things with it – including a whole new month of fun events happening here in Music City (see our February events calendar here!), Valentine’s Day, the end of our Best Nashville Neighborhoods blog series (see here for a list of the 20 neighborhoods we explored), and last but not least, February will bring another new and exciting series to our blog: Nashville Historic Homes.
Join us in our Nashville Historic Homes blog series to learn more about the houses that together have been the heartbeat of this city we call home. We’d like to take you on a journey through Nashville history. Nashville’s history is so rich – including historic stone walls, landmarks and homes dating back to the 1800s. If you’ve ever driven around the city, you’ve seen markers pointing you to some of the most well-known historic homes in Tennessee and maybe in the South.
But have you ever followed the signs? Have you invested time in learning about the history of Nashville? Most of us don’t know anything about these historic landmarks. Over the next few weeks, we’d like to go back in time and rediscover the stories and history that have deemed these homes historic and helped shape Nashville in to the beautiful city that we know (and love) it as today.
Join us as we learn about Belle Meade Plantation, The Carter House, Belmont Mansion and more! Visit our blog at www.nashvilleonthemove.com/news to learn more about these homes, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the series to begin sometime this month.
