The North Nashville area known as Salemtown is slated to receive a major infill project, with cottage style residents going up once Metro approval is granted.
Developers MiKen Development, Aerial Development and H.R. Properties have plans to construct 24 freestanding single-family homes at Salemtown’s northwestern fringe. The development would offer the type courtyard arrangement that has been seen popping up all over the greater-Nashville area.
If the development does pan out as planned, it would join a 92-unit apartment building being developed at Rosa Parks and Hume Street as well as the 282-unit project, The Flats at Werthan Mills on its southern border.
The next step in the process of the development is a community meeting – date TBD. Moving forward, the development team will then purchase eight different parcals on which the cottages will be built — though only after all approvals from Metro are finalized.
The homes, access to which will be limited to Buchanan, will range in price from $249,000 to $279,000 and in size from 1,450 to 1,750 square feet. They will be Energy Star-certified.
