Hello, October! | Nashville Weekend Events

There’s a lot of great things going on this weekend as the month of October is gleefully welcomed in, bringing it’s cooler temperatures and Autumn cheer. If you are out and about this weekend or just looking for some fun ways to get involved in the Nashville community, consider checking out some of these things going on.

On Saturday, the annual Belmont-Hillsboro Tour of homes will be happening. The Tour starts at 11 a.m. and will go until 5 p.m. For more information about this historical and educational event, check out our blog post from last week.

For those who enjoy events that can get their heart pumping for a good cause, consider participating in the Heart Walk at Vanderbilt. The Heart Walk will help kick off Nashville Walk

Week (for information about that, visit here) and begin at 10 a.m. At Riverfront Park, the AIDS Walk and Run will be happening. Both the walk and run will start at 11 a.m. and will benefit Nashville CARES, Tennessee’s largest HIV/AIDS services organization which provides education and support to men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS without charge. The Beer Festival will also be happening at Riverfront Park on Saturday. The event will go on from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and feature over 150 beers for sampling and have tailgating, music, food and much more! For more information including ticketing prices, check out their website here.

The festivals continue… The Nashville Cultural Festival is also on Saturday and can be found at Centennial Park from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. With a theme of “Celebrate Nashville” the Festival will have a lot of music, food and be sure to be a lot of fun as all of the culture and diversity of Nashville is celebrated. The fun activities don’t end on Saturday! On Sunday, head to Greer Stadium from 3-6 p.m. for the chance to test and sample food from trucks that roam all over the city on a daily basis, in one place! For more information about the event, check out this past blog post.
