Green Hills Grille Opening Later This Month | Nashville Restaurants

635738687072250849-greenhillsgrillGreen Hills Grille, the newest Nashville restaurant from local restaurateur Steven Smithing, is set to open on August 25th!

After months of renovating the space that was previously occupied by Alegria Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar, Smithing hopes the new restaurant will be a local neighborhood hangout spot.

Smithing, owner of Brentwood’s Mere Bulles, worked at the original Green Hills Grille for 11 years, first as a sever, then a bartender and, finally, a general manager. Green Hills Grille was founded in 1990 by Phil Hickey and Mike Huffler, and it closed in 2008.

Some of the same staff members from the original location will be at the new location, as well as many of the same menu items, including tortilla soup, grilled salmon salad, Santa Fe chicken, lemon artichoke chicken and smoked chicken enchiladas. Other options will include hand-cut steaks and seafood.

Mere Bulles chef Christopher Smithing will lead the kitchen at Green Hills Grille.

The restaurant will serve lunch, dinner and late-night menus, along with a weekend brunch.

Green Hills Grille will have 175 seats indoors and about 40 seats on an outdoor patio.
