Giving Back in November

It’s hard to believe the holidays are just around the corner.  One of our favorite parts of the holiday season is giving back to our local community as well as those in need all over the world. We support several organizations at Nashville on the Move and thought we’d share a couple of those with you as well as ways to selflessly give back during this holiday season.

Mocha Club is an organization that works to connect local communities with communities in Africa. The name comes from the idea that by offering $7 a month, the cost of two mochas, you are able to give back and make a difference in Africa. Mocha Club currently has several areas of urgent need, that only require a one time donation.  For $6, emergency food can be provided for a single East African family for one month during; $1 can equal $18 worth of medical equipment shipped to clinics in and around Ethiopia; $7 can offer clean water for five Africans for one year. Young Life is an organization with local branches in thousands of cities across the U.S. Their mission is simple: to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. They do this by connecting kids with passionate adults who can offer them consistent, genuine, caring relationships. Nashville Young Life is active in six high schools and one middle school. Locally, donations will help the Nashville area hire and train staff, provide administrative support as well as support operating expenses and ministry costs. Donations also help send kids to camps all over the country. Gifts can be one-time or reoccurring. To learn more about Young Life or make a contribution, visit
We value the importance of supporting our local community.  Join us this holiday season by finding a way to give your time or money to those less fortunate than yourself.  We hope you enjoy a blessed start to this holiday season.
