The expansion of Nashville’s Frothy Monkey Coffeehouse is underway and its second location, to be located in downtown Franklin at 12th Fifth Ave., across from the downtown Franklin post office.
The Franklin location is planning to open by late October. The coffee shop portion is beginning the hiring process tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 21. Applications are being accepted between 7-9 a.m. and 5-7 p.m. at 125 Fifth Ave. S.
Chase Ingalls, longtime chef at Cabana in Nashville, is in charge of the expanded menu that will be offered at the Franklin location. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served daily.
Aside from a coffee house and restaurant portion, the Franklin location will also offer event space for conferences or private parties with a projector and screen. This portion is not something currently available at the 12South location due to space constraints.

Update, 11/14/12:
It was announced this week that the Franklin Frothy Monkey will be opening its doors to the public on Friday, Nov. 30! Hours will be Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
Aside from a full menu of delectable coffee drinks, the Franklin Frothy Monkey will feature food including brunch items and sandwiches and some dinner-driven items and sharable appetizer dishes.
