East Nashville has received much attention as of late. Most recently, USA Today names it one of the “10 best neighborhoods that tourists haven’t found yet.” The article highlighted East Nashville’s contrast from the upscale shopping found in Green Hills. Stores like Alegria, Moss, Hello Boys, and Goodbuy Girls in the Five Points District were mentioned as some of the areas best shopping.
As far as food goes, USA Today gave a nod to Nashville favorite, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream, for its treats and modern décor. Silly Goose, Wild Cow, Mas Tacos Por Favor, and The Eastland Café were also listed as top places to go. Additionally, The New York Times claims that East Nashville restaurants like Marché Artisan Foods and Lockeland Table are two of the reasons Nashville is a strong contender for the “food capital of the South.”
