December Home Sales

    This Holiday season, homes sales went down by 6.9 percent.  There were 1,500 homes sold in December 2010, compared to the 1,612 closings reported in December of 2009. Although there was a decrease in closings, the median price for a single-family home continued to be an increase during December.  The median price was $174,500.  Condominium’s medium price was $149,900
    The year ended with a total of 20,250 closings, which is a 4.4 percent decrease compared to the 21,183 closings in 2009.
