Ready or not, the end of the year has arrived! As usual, it snuck its way here and we are in denial that the calendar already says December. Busy as it may be, December is always such a special month because it is full of time spent with loved ones, decorating the tree, holiday gatherings, gift giving, delicious food and desserts, and cozying up by a fire with a warm mug of hot cocoa. What’s not to love?
Another reason we feel so fondly about December is that it gives us the chance to remember just how thankful we are for all we have and allows us to give back to others who truly need it through volunteering our time and money. If you find yourself feeling the same but not sure where to donate or volunteer, consider one of the local Nashville nonprofits that we have featured in our Serve Nashville blog series, which started last month. Samaritan’s Purse, Project Transformation, Front Porch Ministry, Room In The Inn and Safe Haven Family Shelter are just a few of the nonprofits we’ve spotlighted thus far.
