Countdown to Nashville’s CMA Music Fest

With the CMT Music Awards underway tonight, country music fans have officially begun their countdown to the CMA Music Festival.  Tomorrow marks the 40th anniversary of the most entertaining festival in Nashville.  With performances by over 25 of Country’s biggest stars, attendees also have the option of winning contests, attending book signings, and receiving autographs by Dolly Parton. Tonight beginning at 6:30 PM, the CMA Music Festival becomes an international event with “Chevrolet™ Presents the CMA Global Artist Party.”  The Global Artist Party will feature a variety of performances from an array of international Country Music artists.

Not to be confused, the festival officially begins on Thursday and continues through Sunday with hundreds of artists and celebrities.  There will be hours of concerts from country’s biggest stars, autograph signings, family activities, sporting competitions, interactive exhibits, giveaways, and games.

The festival is appropriate for all ages with plenty of activities to do.  You’ll never be bored, to say the least.  Steve Moore, the CMA Chief Executive Officer said that “The CMA Music Festival could only happen in Nashville and we are so proud that we have been able to allow Country Music fans the opportunity to interact with their favorite artists for the past 40 years…We look forward to celebrating this milestone with our friends from around the globe and our Middle Tennessee neighbors” (source).

Country Music fans will have the opportunity to celebrate in many ways, including watching their favorite artists such as Sugarland, Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift.  Highlights also include a guest appearance from Dolly Parton.  The classic country star will be in the Fan Fair Exhibit Hall on Saturday at noon signing autographs for a number of lucky winners.  Parton, who hasn’t signed autographs at the event since the 1970s, wanted to do something special for fans in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Fan Fair (source).  Click here to purchase tickets for the event.  A four day pass will only cost you $115, a great deal compared to other music festivals.  Daily concerts will be held at Riverfront Park while night concerts will be staged at LP field.  Check out the CMA festivals official website to find out more information and be sure not to miss out on any of these amazing events starting tomorrow!
