Cottages headed to Franklin | Nashville Real Estate

A Franklin, Tenn. based Development Group will soon break ground on a series of cottages to be called Vandalia Cottages. The cottages will be constructed on one of downtown Franklin’s last remaining undeveloped downtown tracts.

Seventeen units using four different cottage home designs ranging from 1,250 to 1,805 square feet will be built around common courtyards.

The cottages will be built with the style that buyers tend to be looking for in urban core areas–smaller spaces, high-end finishes and tight-knit community style developments. Vandalia will be the first quality new construction to go up inside the Mack Hatcher loop and be within walking distance of Franklin’s quaint, historic downtown district.

The cottages will be priced between the $200s and low $400s.

Vandalia Cottages will break ground in the coming weeks, with the installation of a bridge across Sharp’s Branch from New Highway 96 West for vehicular traffic. Pedestrian traffic to downtown Franklin will be via Boyd Mill Avenue.

Nashville-based DA|AD has designed the cottages, which feature broad front porches facing the open space. The homes will include high-end appliances, granite and hardwoods with reclaimed “historic front doors. DA|AD is the design company behind Nashville’s popular Gale Park Cottages.
