Nashville’s Sylvan Park neighborhood is adding two new restaurants this fall. Headquarters, a coffee bar on Charlotte Pike, and Nonna’s Pizzeria and Wine Bar, on Murphy Road, are both slated to open in the next few months.
The owners of Cafe Nonna, a 14-year-old eatery in Nashville, are opening Nonna’s Pizzeria as a way to continue the tradition of simple food with big taste in their newest venture. The pizzeria will also include a wine bar.
Wine specials and sangria carafes will be available daily, with 10-inch pizzas costing between $8 and $14. The owners expressed their desire to be able to offer pizza delivery in the not-so-far-away-future, as well. They decided to keep the Nonna’s tradition in Sylvan Park because they feel the neighborhood is growing and thriving.
The interior design for Nonna’s Pizzeria and Wine Bar will include a yellow and red color scheme with wood paneling and industrial touches, and of course, a state-of-the-art wood-fired pizza oven. The interior will have an open concept feel and offer community tables and bar seating.
Not far from Nonna Pizzeria and Wine Bar, a husband and wife team are opening a neighborhood coffee shop called Headquarters. Their small space, just nine feet wide and 63 feet long will include a cozy nook with hardwood floors and an exposed brick wall. While the space isn’t large enough for the addition of a kitchen, ready-made food items will be offered, including some vegan and vegetarian options. With the coffee choice obviously being the most important element offered, Headquarters will offer a local coffee roast from Roast Inc. in Crieve Hall.
The interior of Headquarters will also be a warm industrial style, with bar-style seating and industrial hanging lights. These design choices were specifically made to go along with the name – Headquarters – like an underground interrogation room for a private investigation team.
Headquarters is at 4902 Charlotte Pike. Nonna’s Pizzeria and Wine Bar is at 4427 Murphy Road, and will be open for lunch and dinner daily.
