There are several Nashville neighborhoods welcoming new retail stores, restaurants, hotels and the like in the coming months.
In the Green Hills neighborhood, the new Greenbriar Shopping Center located on Richard Jones Dr. is already drawing attention as several stores and restaurants have already opened their doors. Already open in the area is Brilliant Sky Toys and Books, an independent store full of classic games and books sure to entertain children and adults alike, Element Salon, popular sandwich shop Which Wich, Massage Envy, European Wax Center, Sanctuary Yoga and a new clothing shop Kendal Boutique. Still slated to open is Alegria Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar, a gourmet, trendy mexican eatery, Kohana Japanese Restaurant, and a second location of popular Brentwood coffee shop The Perch. If you haven’t stopped by this new area yet, be sure to give it a visit and enjoy yet another area to spend an afternoon in the Green Hills neighborhood.
The Gulch is preparing to see changes in its neighborhood, as well. Changes and construction mean the welcoming of at least four new retail spaces in the area. Barry’s Bootcamp, a Los Angelos-based fitness franchise, will bring its fitness plans and organic juice and smoothie bar to a space facing 11th Avenue South. Kocktails and Kouture will also join the area. The shop is a trendy, locally-owned restaurant and boutique hybrid that allows shoppers to enjoy drinks and light fare while browsing couture clothing styles. Bar Louie is a restaurant and martini bar that is known for its oversized burgers, sandwiches and salads, and lastly, in the space formerly occupied by the Wine Loft, Lucchese Boot Co. will find a home. Lucchese features handmade boots made in El Paso, Texas along with assorted accessories and clothing.
Lastly, the West End neighborhood is getting a new hotel. In the former home of Tower Records on West End Avenue, a hotel by the name of Homewood Suites is going up, slated to be finished by summer 2013. The hotel will be seven stories and have 192 rooms along with a street-level wine bar and restaurant and two levels of underground garage parking.
