Our southern neighbor Franklin in Williamson County is busy with lots of new spaces and places working towards calling it home!
After rumors swirled for months among those on twitter on Facebook, news finally came public this week that Nashville-favorite 12South coffee shop Frothy Monkey will be opening doors in Franklin. A long-term lease was signed on the building that was formerly known as the Franklin Presbyterian Church at 12th Fifth Ave., across from the downtown Franklin post office. The Franklin location of Frothy Monkey is beginning renovations later this month in preparation for its opening, which is slated to be sometime this fall. When open, it will offer outdoor patio seating, private dining facilities, and carry-out service. We will do our best to keep you up to date on Frothy Monkey in Franklin, as more news becomes available.
Also opening doors in Franklin this year, at the Cool Springs Galleria, is a second location of the Apple Store. If you’ve ever been to the Apple Store located in the Mall at Green Hills, you know how high the demand for a second location has been. It is almost always packed with customers from wall to wall, needing assistance, wanting to play, and hoping to purchase the latest and greatest Apple product. This second location says a lot about the demand for these products in Middle Tennessee, because while its the second in our area, it’s only the third in the entire state. No information is available on when the store is set to open, so we will do our best to keep you up to date on the grand opening of the Apple Store at the Cool Springs Galleria.
This third new and upcoming place is not exactly located in Franklin or Williamson County, but it is close and still warrants our sharing about it: Burger Republic just recently opened its doors in Lenox Village off Nolensville Rd. This new burger hotspot is serving upscale burgers with certified-Angus beef, gourmet toppings and offering unique milkshakes to help wash it down, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions. Come on out and enjoy a meal on their Burger “Patty-O.” Burger Republic is open daily from 4-10 p.m.
