To have a tan or brown sofa in your living room has been the conventional choice for consumers for the longest time, but no more!
When people think about neutral colors many imagine beige, ivory, taupe, black, gray, and white. Not many envision colors. According to Kristie Barnett, known as the decorologist, color is the new neutral for sofas.
To add some pop to rooms in your house or to step up your game when staging your house add any shade of blue, light blue, turquoise, heather blue, royal blue or navy sofa. Barnett also suggests colors outside the blue range such as greens from minty to emerald.
Fresher and cleaner sofas can help wake up spaces in your home as well as create the feel good emotions a home should give off. Brown sofa’s have begun to look like black holes that suck the light and life out of many rooms.
Choose a color you like over a pattern because you and people are prone to get tired of a pattern, not a favorite color! If you are looking to spruce up some rooms in your house or stage it for selling look no farther then updating your sofa!
