Can’t Miss Nashville Summer Events

There is always something to do in Nashville! That is one of the perks of living in this great city. Summer is the prime time for events and most of the time they are free! People come from all over the country (and world) to attend. Sometimes it’s hard to keep track of everything that is going on and it is easy to miss an event. Here are the top things to do in Nashville this summer so that you do not miss out.

1) Go dancing!

Every Saturday in June, July, and August there are free dance lessons and live music held in one of Nashville’s most popular parks, Centennial park. This free event is held from 7:00pm to 10:00 pm and is for all ages. Every Saturday is a new type of dance! They give dance lessons before the music starts so those who are not comfortable dancing or are beginners, do not worry. There are also food trucks to grab a snack or drink. Another great place to go dancing for free or for a small cover charge is The Wildhorse Saloon. On Fridays dance lessons start at 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday lessons start at 12:00. They have live music and line dance lessons for all ages. However, after 9pm, it is 21 and over. Wildhorse is a great place to dance the night away while listening to some great music! Additionally, they have live music starting at 6:30 p.m. every night. Access the artist lineup and more details here.

 2) CMA Music Festival

Held Thursday, June 7th through Sunday, June 10th from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., CMA Music Festival is one of Nashville’s biggest events of the year. People travel from all over the world to attend! The events of the Festival will feature live music from some of country’s favorite artists as well as up-and-coming artists. Artists playing this year’s Fest include special guest Bebe Rexha, Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Carrie Underwood, Chase Bryant, Chris Stapleton, Dan + Shay, Dierks Bentley, and rising star Dylan Schneider, just to name a few. Also, some of Nashville’s Top food vendors and food trucks will be there. There are also other activities going on through CMA fest like the Celebrity Softball Game. ABC’s American Idol will also make an appearance at CMA Fest with meet and greets, giveaways, and more. Purchase weekend passes online, or there are several stage locations with live music for free and no tickets necessary!

3) Live on the Green

This free outdoor music festival is every Thursday in August (9th, 16th, 23rd) and Labor day weekend August 30th-September 1st. Although this is a free event, you can purchase VIP tickets for special amenities and access. There will be food trucks and many drink options available as well. The artist lineup will be posted on June 21st. This awesome event will be held in the heart of downtown Nashville at Public Square Park. Click here to find out more.
