With Christmas just under three weeks away, Nashville musician Andrew Peterson has been busy touring with his fellow bandmates and friends as they perform his Christmas album, Behold the Lamb.
Peterson’s Behold the Lamb Tour began on Nov. 28th Nebraska and wraps up in Texas on Dec. 20, with two Nashville shows at the historic Ryman Auditorium also happening at the tour’s tail end.
Peterson wrote the songs featured on this tour 13 years ago and recorded them onto a Christmas album in 2004. Each December, he travels the nation, performing the songs in a two-part concert. The first half of each show features storytelling of songs by all the artists on tour, while the second-half features the Christmas album, Behold the Lamb, played straight from sequentially with no talking in between songs to keep the atmosphere reverent. Peterson has said that the tour is designed to be tasteful and spiritual and provide the audience with a true remembrance of what the holiday season is really all about.
This year, Peterson will have guest artists Ben Shire, Andy Gullahorn, Jill Phillips, Andrew Osenga, Gabe Scott, Todd Bragg, Paul Eckberg, Claire Indie, Cason Cooley and Matthew Perryman Jones with him on stage.
