It has been rumored for quite sometime that the New York celebrity chef, Jonathan Waxman was planning to open a restaurant in Nashville. We now know that he will be opening Adele’s by Jonathan Waxman in the Gulch early this summer along with his two partners.
The restaurant is named after his mother, Adele May Waxman, who he refers to as his first instructor. It will be located at 1210 McGavock Pike. The menu is still a work in progress but Waxman says his style of food is rustic, seasonal and fun.
Adele’s will have an 80-seat main dining room, a 35-seat private dining room, and a bar and patio that combined will have 100 seats. The restaurant will likely open daily for dinner at first, then add lunch and brunch later.
He particularly likes the idea of his restaurant being around other restaurants in the emerging market in the Gulch. Waxman has been to Nashville a few times before when he has served as a host of the Music City Eats: Nashville Food, Wine & Spirits Festival.
