A Romantic Day for Two, Nashville Style

In honor of today being Valentine’s Day, we thought we would share a previous blog post which was part of our Your City, Your Way blog series which was featured on our blog last spring. In this series, 12 different types of days were featured, each geared for a certain individual or individuals, complete with restaurants to hit up and activities to take part in. If you haven’t ever seen the series, be sure to check out the link above and see what sorts of days were featured!

Today we are sharing the post that laid out the best possible Romantic Day in Nashville. Maybe this is a day you could take your Valentine on this year and enjoy the day, Nashville-style.

    Breakfast: Marche

For an upscale breakfast to begin the romantic day, try chocolate croissants, crepes du jour, and house made brioche with cinnamon in a European-style café and marketplace located in East Nashville. You might start dreaming you’re on a romantic vacation in Paris, but really you’re just beginning your day-long date in the worldly city of Nashville.

Activity: Horseback riding at Percy Priest

Take in the sights at Percy Priest Lake from the back of a horse for a peaceful morning with your honey. Percy Priest feels like a vacation far from the city, but it’s located just ten miles east of Nashville.

    Lunch: Zumi Sushi

Zumi is one of Nashville’s newest Japanese Kitchens. The front and back decks are perfect for relaxing and enjoying a meal together, and for the sushi-averse, there are plenty of delicious fully cooked bowls and salads, even including Japanese fried chicken!

    Activity: Arrington Vineyards

Get lost in the vineyards owned by country artist Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn fame. The best time to come is late in the afternoon so you can catch a beautiful sunset over the hills of Arrington, Tennessee, just 25 miles south of Nashville. For a special occasion, Arrington Vineyards has their own hot air balloon available to charter for an unforgettable experience.

    Dinner: Sambuca

Sambuca features live music seven nights a week, award winning entrees, a location in the very trendy Gulch warehouse district, and an unbeatable view of the Nashville skyline. Sound like the perfect formula for dinner with a date? We thought so!

    Activity: F. Scott’s Jazz Bar

To cap off the perfect date day in Nashville, we need a sophisticated, romantic, cozy place to enjoy drinks and live music. F. Scott’s is just the classy restaurant and bar we need, with a Jazz Age theme that presents some of Nashville’s most talented jazz musicians and an atmosphere much like the parties F. Scott Fitzgerald himself may have attended.
