23Hundred at Berry Hill | Nashville Developments

Ground as broken on a new apartment complex in the 8th Avenue/Melrose neighborhood of Nashville.

The apartment building, planned to be comprised of 266 units, will be a five-story structure located at the corner of Bradford Avenue and 8th Avenue South. The project is being developed by Bluerock Real Estate LLC, whose corporate office is located in New York City, and Atlanta-based Stonehenge DCM. A 2014 completion date has been projected for the entire project, which is expected to cost almost $34 million in total to develop.

This project won’t be the first time Bluerock and Stonehenge have worked together. The two are also co-developing Note 16 on 16th Avenue in Music Row.

The Bluerock website notes 23Hundred at Berry Hill will offer eight floor plans for its one- and two-bedroom units. The amenities include a saltwater pool with adjoining spa, outdoor grilling area with fire pit and cabanas, fitness club, rooftop lounge (with billiards, bars, and TVs), skydeck, songwriter’s lounge with karaoke, chef’s kitchens, cyber café, tanning beds, bike racks, electric car charging station, a pet park and on-site ATM machines.

Just this past week, renderings for the project were released by Bluerock and Stonehenge. The building will be constructed with a wood frame and concrete garage. Cambridge Builders and Contractors LLC and The Winter Construction Company are handling general contracting duties.

Richmond, Va.-based Poole & Poole Architecture is overseeing the design of the building, which will anchor the southeast corner of the Eighth Avenue South and Bradford Avenue T-intersection. The main exterior materials will include brick, Hardie panel and stucco.
