The New Downtown Code and the Changing Face of Nashville
On February 2nd the Metro Council will conduct its 3rd reading of the final draft of The Downtown Code. If approved by the Metro Council, this new zoning law will usher in an exciting new period for downtown Nashville. Based on 2007's Downtown Community Plan, the new neighborhood-driven code would essentially rewrite downtown development, and hopefully give it the facelift it needs to grow and prosper in the next decade and beyond.
