On the morning of Saturday, Dec. 1, the 12South Neighborhood Association will host its inaugural Winter WarmUp.
The Winter WarmUp is a professionally chip-timed, closed-course road race event through the streets of Nashville’s popular 12South neighborhood. This year’s event will consist of a 6K, 12K and one-mile fun run and will immediately precede the 2nd Annual Winter Warmer Beer Festival held in 12South’s Sevier Park.
The Winter WarmUp follows the tradition of other established Nashville neighborhood runs with festival tie-ins, such as the Germantown Oktoberfest 5K and the East Nashville TomatoFest 5K. The vibrant and historic 12South and Belmont-Hillsboro neighborhoods will provide an excellent backdrop for this family-friendly event.
Proceeds from the 12South Winter WarmUp will benefit the Go Green District 17 Initiative in Chestnut Hill and The Friends of Sevier Park. All participants will receive quality t-shirts and award-winners will receive a commemorative pint glass as well as gifts from local retailers and restaurants.
Race registration is filling up quick, so if you are interested, be sure to head here now to learn more and sign up.
