This fall, in the location that was formerly Greenlight Market and then LB’s Market House will reopen as Sloco Sandwiches next week. Sloco, a lunchtime-only sandwich shop, will offer a menu with sandwiches produced fully from local or regional products.
Owner and Chef Jeremy Barlow hopes to offer a full meal for around $10, including a sandwich, chips and a drink. The menu will offer simple, tasty sandwiches with beef, pork, chicken and vegetarian options as well as three types of breads, including a gluten-free option. Information will be served with each sandwich about what farm raised the veggies and meat, what the animals were fed and how many miles the food had to travel to reach the customer.
This environmentally-friendly and health conscious Sloco andwich shop is set to open next Tuesday, Oct. 18 so be sure to check them out during your lunch break! For more information, find them on twitter at @slocosammies.

On the corner of 12th South Ave and Halcyon, Edley’s BBQ will be opening with the promise to be a tribute to all things southern and be a Nashville institution, joining the Nashville tradition of a meat and three with what they claim will be the “best Bar-B-Que on this side of the Mississippi.”
Edley’s will offer each day freshly smoked meats using local White Oak wood; there will only be enough meat smoked for one day, so it’s first come first serve for you BBQ lovers out there! In addition they will prepare eight to ten southern style side dishes (made from scratch!) every day.
For more information about Edley’s, visit their website at www.edleysbbq.com or find them on twitter at @edleysbbq. They currently plan to open sometime next month.
