Today’s announcement seems worthy of a drumroll. You probably noticed the building boom of houses in the 12South neighborhood in recent years, but you probably never thought you would have the opportunity to see the stunning homes in their entirety.
The good news is that if you have ever wanted to see the beauty beyond the front doors your chance has come! The 10th annual 12South Home Tour will be held Saturday, April 20th, and tickets are now on sale! The tour will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will feature 11 homes in the area, all of which are unique to this year’s tour.
The 12South Home Tour is organized and presented by the 12South Neighborhood Association and the proceeds go towards improving the local community—through street and alley clean up and planting and maintaining trees and landscaping—as well as the funding of annual concerts and the 2nd annual Winter WarmUp race. The homes participating in this year’s tour feature historic architectural characteristics and modern designs, which reflect the neighborhood’s “equally vibrant past and present.”
Tickets for the 2013 12South Home Tour are currently being sold for $10 on the Neighborhood Association’s website. Tickets will also be sold the day of the tour from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Summer Classics parking lot located at 2600 12th Avenue South for $12. We would also like to note that free tickets will be given to members of the United States Armed Forces and the Metro Police and Fire Department and their spouses with the presentation of official military, police or fire department ID at purchase.
