On the Fifth Day of Christmas… Handel’s “Messiah”
More than 50 years ago, Nashville Symphony Chorus performed “Messiah” for the very first time at War Memorial Auditorium. Returning to the same place this year, they will sing the “Hallelujah!” chorus as well as the rest of one of the most inspiring, emotional, and dramatic sets of music ever written. The work follows the life of Christ, from His birth and His miracles to His death and resurrection, and has become an anthem of the Christmas season. The talent of the Nashville Symphony Chorus will only enhance the incredible melodies and words that have withstood the test of time since the Baroque-era when they were written.
Showing through December 18 at War Memorial Auditorium in the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. Tickets start at $35 (Family Package: $99 for four tickets).
