Celebrity Homes | Nashville Real Estate

As we all know, Nashville is famously known world-wide for being Music City, U.S.A.  With our city being the country music industry mecca of sorts, it has in turn become home to many accomplished and famed musicians.

It’s always fun to take a peak inside the home of someone famous (ever watch MTV’s Crib’s?!) and we recently came across some real estate listings for celebrity homes here in Nashville that we can’t help but share.

The first is Alan Jackson’s home. Set at the end of a gated driveway, the country star’s Tuscan-style villa was made for entertaining, complete with a theater, wine cellar and even a saltwater pool. In 2010, Alan Jackson said goodbye to Sweetbriar, his 135-acre estate in Franklin, Tenn., which he sold for $28 million.

The “Gone Country” singer then moved into a slightly smaller but equally luxurious home in the same Nashville suburb. Perched on top of a hill, the 14,000-square-foot mansion offers panoramic views of the scenic surroundings. The singer and his wife paid $3.675 million for the estate in June 2010, but less than a year later, they’ve listed the home for $3.995 million.

Another Nashville native celebrity who recently had a house on the market was country sweetheart Taylor Swift. Built in 1925, the country music superstar’s beautifully renovated home featured graceful architectural detail and a secluded setting.

The “Love Story” singer purchased her Nashville residence for $1.4 million in September 2010; less than a year later, she’s listed it for $50,000 more than what she paid. Set on a walled lot in the historic Whitland area, the renovated, expanded and restored home comes with four bedrooms and five bathrooms.

Taylor Swift sold her elegant Nashville residence for $1.4 million in September 2011 – but it’s still fun to see the listing and enjoy a glimpse inside her once-mansion.
