Apartments Coming to Hillsboro Village | Nashville Developments
Plans were announced earlier this week for a new apartment complex to go up in Nashville’s quaint Hillsboro Village.
The apartment complex is slated to go up between Bosco’s Restaurant and Acklen Ave., leveling the currently standing buildings in that portion of the village. It is currently unclear whether those affected tenants (Zeitgeist Gallery, Peabody Shoe Repair, Cotten Music Center, The Cosmetic Market and Retropolitan) will relocate or not.
Developer H.G. Hill had originally announced to put up a 69-apartment, three-story complex, however Hillsboro Village’s urban design overlay doesn’t allow buildings on the block to exceed two stories.
The developers were expected to request an amendment through the Planning Commission to bypass this amendment, but as recently as Friday morning seemed to have changed their minds. Recent updates to the complex say that they are now planning to scale back to 47 apartments to keep within the village’s eclectic and cozy design.
No plans have been announced as to when this project is slated to begin.
